Naviance Family Connection

Naviance, what is it?

Naviance is a comprehensive college and career readiness solution that helps districts and schools align student strengths and interests to postsecondary goals, improving student outcomes and connecting learning to life. It is utilized during the Advisory period to begin students on the journey of college and career exploration.

Naviance provides a number of resources in one place, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Career and Personality Interest Inventories (Myers-Briggs) to help students discover potential careers and majors that match skills and interests
  • Career Exploration - job descriptions/ summaries and tools to indicate the education, skills, and abilities necessary for thousands of careers, as well as expected salaries
  • Resume Builder - students can start keeping track of activities in one place
  • College & Major Search options that can be tailored to student specifications (location, size, etc.), including links to college websites and information about admissions requirements and deadlines
  • Building A College List of schools based on student interest
  • Scattergrams show how students compare, in terms of GPA and SAT/ACT scores, to past graduates who have applied to the same colleges of interest
  • Search for Scholarships
  • Links to summer Enrichment Programs
  • Upcoming College visits
  • Academic Course Planning - view your school's course catalog online from school, home, or anywhere with Internet access and create a multi-year academic plan to track Graduation Requirements
  • Attention Seniors!

Tri-Creek School Corporation uses Naviance to submit documents electronically to colleges. These documents include School Reports, Letters of Recommendation, and Transcripts. Seniors need to make sure the colleges they are applying to are listed in Naviance and their list is updated to reflect their most current selection of schools.

    Account Access

Students and parents each have accounts. Students actively use their account in their 6th block advisory class where they complete several of the above activities as well as curriculum lesson modules that are differentiated at each grade level.
